about divisions

Divisions are the main organizational unit of the Warrior's of Æsir. They are semi-autonomous clan-like structures that usually operate in a specific game or gaming environment. This way the members of a Division are people that a player would associate the most with on average.

All Divisions are led by a Captain. Unless there is a special circumstance Captains lead their Division as they see fit. The Captain has final say and should be seen as the ultimate voice over Division-wide affairs. Captain's are directly appointed by the Fleet Admiral himself.

Most Divisions are further broken into another sub-division, called a Platoon. Platoon's are led be Lieutenant's and work to strengthen the chain of command and build up the Division from the ground up.

Status as a Division is an extremely prestigious label, with Captain's as powerful figures within the clan.

eye of odin

Although it's had many names, many leaders and many homes, the StarCraft Division of WA has been around one way or another since 2001. It's current incarnation is the Eye of Odin, which it has carried since it was reorganized in 2004. The Eye of Odin is the birthplace of WA, both Flagship of your Fleet and Capitol of our Empire. It's history is long and it's past glorious, almost all members of WA have had some interaction with this Division. Currently the Eye of Odin Division is an umbrella division for all Battle net games on the US West Server.

hope's last stand

Hope's Last Stand was previously known as the Asgard Berserkers but was changed to HLS after new leadership took over. They represent the Warriors of Æsir on World of Warcraft. Located on the Boulderfist server as the Horde; they are led by some of WA's newest additions to the greater Fleet, assisted by various members of the greater WA and are WA's 4th attempt at a WoW Division.

2nd raven corps

An Xbox Live Division, the 2nd incarnation of the Raven Corps, an old, established and successful former platoon turned division within WA. Previously managed by Colonel ShadowDude(Umbra), it is currently being led by Captain Galref.

jotunheimr productions ltd.

Jotunheimr Productions Ltd. is the EVE-Online division of the WA. It was founded by Captain Kane Toth and Commander Jacob Evans, and together they guided the clan in its adventures of New Eden, aiming to grow and Prosper under the banner of the Fleet. Currently, it is being managed by interim Captain, Commodore Kilroy.

Rough Platoons

Rough Platoons are Division-less Platoons, usually stationed on games that previously had no other WA presence. They are the forward encampments, the vanguard of WA. The settlers and conquerors of future lands in the name of WA. They are led by acting lieutenants who act with the same authority of a Captain within their Rough Platoon. The ultimate goal of all Rough Platoons is to one day be given an Official Imperial Charter and be named a Division.

Current Active Rough Platoons:

Odin's Wrath: A PS3 Rough Platoon, mostly on CoD4. They are led by acting lieutenant Valuggr Varrling.

Holler's Servitors: A Runescape platoon, led by WA-Joebusque. They are led by Lieutenant Ulfvald Leitling.

Vali's Elites: Playing a browser based game called "The West," they are currently led by acting lieutenant Asoto.
