Biography

Moscow joined WA on September 1st, 2008. Initially sorted into House Dippity (a mistake, as he was brought into WA by Lord Dane himself after Dane discovered Moscow was the maker of Scandinavian Diplomacy) as a Sindar recruit of Eru (Thingol), Moscow took a long LOA from October to December of that year following an altercation with Eohwyn, a now-exiled member who was then the Captain of Battle.net US East. He was made a Commander of the Admiralty, as with Ullr the Traitor’s Bane, and reported directly to Lord Dane. He helped administrate the forums and website for WA from that time on, all the while working on Starcraft UMS maps to spread the name of WA.

Despite the support of Lord Dane, a public attempt by the Council to eject Moscow from WA during the summer of 2009 due to the “Eru meme” was only halted when one of the instigators of the drama, WA-ck.a.mole, was caught boasting about being a spy.

In the fall of 2009, his origin as the recruit of Lord Dane was corrected, and he was moved from House Dippity to House Dane as a member of Family Grimling.

He was often the enemy of Warrior and other Council members. In December of 2009, he was promoted to be Colonel of Culture, and made a member of the Council. Soon thereafter, Warrior’s attempted takeover of WA failed, with Moscow being one of the only officers to oppose him. Following Warrior’s destruction of the WA forums in February of 2010, Moscow took over as owner and administrator of the website and forums, and was promoted to Lord Protector. Soon thereafter, Moscow was made the Acting-Admiral of the First Fleet (in addition to his primary role as Lord Protector), taking over for Rikileitr’s short-lived term as Admiral. Somewhere around this time, Eohwyn and other old WA exiles created the “Military Systems” clan for the sole purpose of “destroying Moscow”.

On June 6th, 2010, he became the founder of Family Rusling.

Also in June of 2010, certain leaders and members of WA were caught and exposed by Earl-Ranger Falkiveurr Goldstar Rusling creating the “anti-Moscow Militia” clan to destroy WA and remake it in their own image. This later prompted the creation of the anti-WA clan known as Warriors of the Phalanx (WoP). Moscow was eventually able to pass Admiralship to Asherr Noble Sindar. He created WA's Wæsirpedia in November of 2010. Eventually, on September 1st, 2011, exactly 3 years since he joined WA, he resigned his position to take an LOA, lasting until February 6, 2012, when he was brought back as Shield-Arm of the Empire. Shortly after taking his LOA, Family Rusling became Minor House Rusling within House Dane, and he became the first recipient of a Triumph, receiving the title “The Triumphant” and the right to bear the name of the Norse god Heimdall.

Following Dane's redefinition of Minor Houses and Duchies, Moscow declared Minor House Rusling to be the Rusling Duchy within House Dane on March 2nd, 2012.

Moscow's Triumph

Ruslandr went far and beyond the call of duty, so often and so zealously that the Warriors of Æsir recognize the deity of Heimdall behind His actions.

An avatar of some aspect of the God of Protection and Defense, Moscow proved time and time again his dedication and prowess towards the defense of the Warriors of Æsir.

As a Commander in the Admiralty Division, as the Colonel of Culture and as the Lord-Protector, Ruslandr brought traitors, trouble-makers, instigators and insurgents to their knees.

As Earl of the Ruslings, he founded a mighty family and Minor-House which has also filled the halls of the Æsir will able bodied and loyal guardians.

As a Commander of the Admiralty he stood alone within the Halls of the Æsir against a hostile Division.

As Colonel of Culture, he stood alone against the usurped throne of the Æsir within the Tower of Emperor.

As Lord-Protector, he stood alone upon the Bifrost against the enemies of WA, within and without.

As a man he gave us a forum and a website that renewed our hope and vigor.

As a God he put a roof over our heads and shield in hands.

As a Warrior of Æsir he gave us prestige in his maps, guidance in his words, and warmth in his friendship.

He is and has been our Guardian, our Protector. We now recognize that was no mortal feat, he was the aspect of Heimdall, or defender and our deliverance.
